Job Description
The Engineering Summer Student takes on discrete projects within the North America
(NAM) projects organization, which are constructed to advance implementation of business operations initiatives, technical development efforts and increasing efficiencies of how we work.
As part of the NAM Projects team, you will be responsible for delivering on assigned project(s) that support all disciplines of our team. These project assignments will be dynamic in nature, require you to interact with all engineering disciplines, and focus on emerging areas of concern for our business. The specific project assignments will be geared towards your level of experience and education to make sure that you are successful in your role. You will also be exposed to a fast paced work environment,
where there are expectations surrounding team engagement, meeting deadlines and presenting your project results.
Nature of work:
In this role, your responsibilities will be associated with executing discrete projects, either individually or part of a team. Project areas of focus could include the following:
• Organizing and consolidation of Veolia WTS Product Technical Information,
and the delivery to the wider NAM Projects team
• Developing and refining methodology for assessing Veolia WTS solutions from a sustainability standpoint, looking at impact on Greenhouse Gas emissions, water use, and waste generation.
• Implementation of lessons learned on customer projects back into design standards and templates
• Working with technical development cohorts to formalize and streamline the knowledge gain from the team into usable future development collateral
• Project site sample collection and support to local field operations teams

Qualifications
Education:
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Science or Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other related technical discipline.
• Strong preference will be given to candidates that are children of current employees at Veolia WTS. Additionally, preference will be given to candidates that proactively seek employment opportunities.
