The Facility Scoping team is looking for an Engineer to join us in our work to help ensure our community has access to a robust and reliable transmission system! You will serve a primary role in developing conceptual designs and project scopes to improve the LCRA Transmission Services Corporation's transmission system, as well as supporting the interconnection of a dynamic and growing mix of resources on the ERCOT grid. You will be trusted to:
- Develop conceptual designs and scoping documents to improve the existing electric grid and/or facilitate the interconnection of new load and generation facilities.
- Investigate and analyze problems and develops appropriate solutions. Draft reports and act as project consultant and specialist.
- Conduct and takes full responsibility for moderately complex engineering studies. Perform field analysis, performance tests, designs, cost estimates, lays out drafting work, and the correlation and compilation of data. May coordinate the work of engineers, technicians, craft workers or others.
- Coordinate project scope reviews between individuals and other teams. Ensure timely communication occurs. Develop and conducts presentations to management and others.
- Act as team leader to coordinate the work of other fully competent engineers or other technical personnel on moderately complex engineering projects and or studies.
- Maintain knowledge of engineering principles. Keep informed of technical developments, industry codes, and safety and/or regulatory requirements which have impact upon the respective engineering discipline. Fully develop knowledge of LCRA procedures, equipment, and systems.
- Gather engineering information by traveling independently to various locations (substations, transmission lines, etc.) as necessary.
- Show initiative in identifying areas for improvement and proposes new procedures or engineering solutions.

- Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Texas
- Driver's license
