Overview of the Position:
Oversee all engineering and sourcing requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design of commercial aircraft aftermarket parts by reverse engineering.
- If required incumbent may use standard measurement tools such as a micrometer or caliper to gather dimensional data.
- Create 3D CAD models and dimensional data reports from reverse engineering data.
- Create manufacturing drawings of aftermarket parts from dimensional reports, material analysis, and available technical data.
- Manage multiple reverse engineering projects simultaneously.
- Create reports and data packages to be submitted to the FAA for certification.
Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Detail oriented.
- Computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with 3D CAD modeling, with Solid Works experience preferred.
Education / Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
