Overview of the Position:Responsible for ensuring the continued operation and optimization of assembly processes. This role involves a wide range of activities, including process development, troubleshooting, and implementing improvements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Develop, document, implement, and continuously improve assembly processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Conduct time studies and process capability analysis to identify areas for improvement.
- Diagnose and resolve assembly process issues to identify the underlying causes of problems (root cause analysis).
- Monitor product quality and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Implement quality control measures to prevent defects and improve product reliability.
- Provide technical support to assembly technicians and other team members, while also developing and maintaining technical documentation, including assembly procedures and work instructions.
- Oversee the maintenance and calibration of assembly equipment.
- Identify and implement equipment upgrades to improve productivity and efficiency.
Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: - Strong technical background in mechanical engineering or related field.
- Experience with assembly processes and manufacturing operations.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team environment.
- Lean manufacturing principles and tools.
- Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and other quality improvement techniques.

Education / Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree in engineering with minimum 8 years related manufacturing experience and training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
