What You Will Be Doing:
The Director, Staffing Fulfillment & Optimization will be a critical link between the Staffing Operations organization, Field Operations clinical and operational leadership, and client Hospital leadership. This position is responsible for an assigned portfolio of contracts and aligns with the respective Group Medical Officers, Medical Directors, Group Operating Officers, and Client Service Vice Presidents for their assigned book of business. The role will work in close partnership with Medical Directors for the ongoing management of high functioning, efficient clinical practices. The Director, Staffing Fulfillment & Optimization will also be a key client interface for critical staffing deliverables, including startups, terminations, ongoing execution of contract KPIs, and tactical problem solving. This position will work in close coordination and collaboration with Recruiting, Credentialing, and Scheduling to deliver on goals. The Director, Staffing Fulfillment & Optimization will achieve outcomes that consistently and favorably impact both the provider experience and clinical costs, while meeting client service and quality goals and objectives.
- Provide SCP clinical and operational leadership a primary liaison as single point-of-contact into Staffing Operations organization.
- Manage Staffing Operations deliverables and KPIs for assigned portfolio of contracts to ensure that all policies, objectives, and initiatives are met.
- Evaluate, advise and recommend designated staffing- related actions including sign-on/retention bonuses, shift-based bonus approvals, contracted over-rate providers, opening locums orders, and confirmation of clinician cost projections.
- Support Medical Directors in management of practice staffing to deliver on cost-per-visit goals.
- Collaborate with clinical operations to manage provider costs for assigned facilities.
- Assist in the development of facility budgets in collaboration with Field Operations and Finance.
- Assist Business Development in proposal development and new client pursuits.
- Spearhead staffing efforts for new client startups to ensure provider satisfaction and financial accountability to meet pro forma cost profile.
- Be key client interface in Staffing matters including startups, terminations, and ongoing execution of contract KPIs.
- Collaborate productively with aligned Recruiting, Credentialing, and Scheduling departments as one interconnected team.
- Ensure effective and professional communication with all internal and external stakeholders. Assist team in building strategies to recruit and retain providers.
- Assist, as needed, in preparation and timely dissemination of provider schedules to all stakeholders.
- Assist with after office hour emergent needs and extended office hour non-emergent needs as necessary to ensure uninterrupted client service working with Scheduling and Credentialing teams.
- Review and recommend solutions and appropriate courses of action in matters relating to provider contracting.
Who/What We Are Looking For:
- You have 7+ years staffing operations or healthcare experience.
- You have a Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field. Master' degree, preferred.
- You have advanced working knowledge of recruiting, scheduling, and credentialing processes as it relates to Emergency Medicine, Hospital Medicine, and Critical Care.
- You have strong client management and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work and achieve goals in a matrixed environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to complete detailed financial analyses.
- Must be able to set priorities and demonstrate sound judgment in handling problems.
- Must be extremely organized and demonstrate exceptional time management skills.
