Data Engineer

Position Description:We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Data Analyst/Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for connecting and querying databases, conducting ad-hoc requests, building dashboards, automating reports, communicating analytics and giving presentations.
Responsibilities:

Candidate will be responsible for connecting and querying databases using SQL/Power Query.

Responsible for data cleaning, and data quality assurance.

Building dashboards in Power BI and Tableau, communicating analytics and giving presentations.

Developing and automating data processes, reports and products.
Required:

Ability to acquire public trust clearance
-
Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant field
-
Relevant demonstrated military experience maybe substituted
-
3-5 years of demonstrated experience and a portfolio of projects.

Pro-active approach to problem solving and assigned tasks

Self-learner with a can-do-attitude

Comfortable with team dynamics, accountable and open to feedback

Demonstrated experience working with several object-oriented programming languages and environments, such as Python, R, SQL and VBA.

Comfortable building dashboards in Power BI & Tableau.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Understands the client-contractor relationship

Good with working under pressure and handling deadlines
Desired:

Active public trust clearance

A Master of Science degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics and/or data analytics is preferred

Experience working in acquisitions, IRS, or government contracting

Robotic Process Automation (RPA) experience

Data portfolios, and publications
