Vangarde Woodworks(VWW) architectural millwork company located in Richmond, VA. We build large hospitality projects across the United States as well as high-end custom residential projects around the Richmond area.
VWW is seeking a additional Millwork/Casework engineer to join our engineering team. This is a full-time permanent position to help handle the company growth. We will need someone who can work closely with other engineers to generate submittal drawings and production engineering. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Cabinet Vision with S2M center, as well as proficiency with AutoCAD. You will create all products for millwork construction, export files to a CNC router, produce all builder documents required for productions and create detailed drawings for shop use as well as installer use. This position requires collaboration with project managers to ensure that all designs meet project specifications and working with other engineers to balance workload and quality standards.
Duties
- Become Familiar with VWW construction and drawing standards to ensure consistent quality projects
- Build custom casework using our existing CV catalog as well as creating unique customized fixtures from scratch.
- Create customer drawings using Cabinet Vision and AutoCAD.
- Revise drawings based on feedback from clients and field conditions.
- Collaborate with Project Manager to ensure project requirements are met.
- Collaborate with Purchasing to order ensure all project materials are ordered in time for production.
- Collaborate with the shop team to make improvements based of builder feedback.
- Preparation of project documentation including BOM, CNC cut sheets, Board Stock Reports, Assembly Drawings, Shipping Tickets.
- Maintain organized records of all drafts, revisions, and related documents.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Cabinet Vision Experience including S2M Center. Preferred experience with UCSs & editing SQL Reports.
- Experience in creating millwork or casework drawings.
- Able to work closely with other team members as well as independently.
- Knowledge of ADA Requirements is essential, AWI standards preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
- Knowledge of general woodworking techniques.
Work hours will be Monday-Friday 7:00AM-3:30PM (overtime as needed)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
