The Data Centers Site Services - Field Lead is responsible for supervising SLB field team members and safely providing customer with onsite technical guidance, parts receipt/condition tracking, reporting, and a primary point of contact for initiating offsite support as required. They will report to SSTC Data Centers Field Lead Manager based in Shreveport, Louisiana, while indirectly reporting to the Data Centers Site Services Manager based in Houston, Tx. The job will require strong collaboration with Field Technicians/Specialists, Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Project Management groups as needed to support the area of expertise and identifies opportunities for continuous improvement of product and service delivery and formally communicates findings.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Utilizes experience in Data Server Hall Infrastructure and/or must quickly train to acquire knowledge and expertise of assembly, testing, and troubleshooting processes.
- Primary SLB representative and point of contact to customer while on site. Must be an effective communicator and well organized.
- Must effectively manage up to a six-person team and tooling while on site.
- Supports customer site representatives with technical guidance, troubleshooting, and alignment for SLB equipment.
- Visually and dimensionally inspects equipment as it is delivered on site.
- Performs robust inventory and condition assessment of SLB-manufactured parts and assemblies as it arrives on site.
- Executes point-to-point continuity testing and troubleshooting as required.
- Engages with SLB engineering and manufacturing remotely when advanced technical support is required.
- Writes detailed daily service reports and actively manages resources and tooling on site.

- Must travel interstate domestically on a 3-week on / 1-week off rotation and potentially work overtime hours while in field. Will be required to attend training and support SLB Shreveport Technology Center as schedule allows. Site locations include, but are not limited to: North Texas, Iowa, Nebraska, Virginia, Arizona, Ohio, Louisiana
- Utilizes SLB-provided laptop and uses digital tools to perform job duties: SAP, Google BIM360/Bug, MS Office Suite.
- Exercises discretion and maintains SLB and customer confidentiality standards.
- Works both inside and outside of controlled environment settings.
Minimum Job Qualifications - High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
- 3+ years' experience with Data Centers strongly preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and engineering drawings and BOMs,
- Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
- Experience in SAP for accessing and viewing engineering drawings and documents.
- Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Compute rate, ratio, and percent.
- Must multi-task effectively.
- Lives in Continental U.S. and is within 2 hours from a public airport
- Will be required to travel to SSTC in Shreveport, Louisiana for training as needed.
