If so, here's an opportunity to be a part of the team
We are looking for experienced or new to industry technicians with the right approach aligning with our values, you will be part of a permanently employed dedicated flexible technician team. You will be supporting service and troubleshooting activities on SGRE Offshore wind farms in the UK (United Kingdom) and Europe and therefore require the right to work in both UK and Europe.
The role will involve leading small teams to deliver service and other scheduled/unscheduled maintenance activities on the Wind Turbine Generator (WTG). This is a travelling role with opportunities to work in both the UK and Europe on Crew Transfer Vessel (CTV) and Service Operations Vessel (SOV) sites. The shift pattern will be on 2 weeks on 2 weeks off rotation.
Some of your key tasks will include but not be limited to:
- Part of a team of technicians safely delivering Maintenance and Troubleshooting activities on Offshore Windfarms
- Active safety leadership when in the turbine and in the Wind Farm - ensure correct reporting of incidents and accidents, near misses and unsafe acts / conditions
- Ensure compliance with Siemens Gamesa standards and UK legislation in relation to Environment Health & Safety (EHS), Quality and Service delivery
- Remote diagnosis of turbine faults
- Support technical supervision of critical tasks as required
- Support for the welfare of technicians whilst on site and escalation of any issues relating to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), transportation, and equipment
- Ensure compliance with customer and contractual obligations whilst executing work packages / tasks. Guarantee compliance with site rules and regulations
- Maintain efficient timescales for delivery of service activities to assist in the creation of daily, weekly plans for site teams as in conjunction with Service Planner / Service Coordinator / Stores Operators if required
- Provide accurate time booking data
- Comply with task related EHS, Quality and Technical documentation and ensure compliance at site level with all requirements. e.g. Work Instructions, Risk Assessments and Method Statements
- Onsite support for customer operational issues and site visits
- Support your own personal development and the development of other technicians
- Work proactively with 3rd party technicians, contractors and sub-contractors and facilitate planning and execution of 3rd party work including EHS compliance
What you need to make a difference
Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are also looking for,
- We are considering new to industry applicants with a formal electrical background and education at Level 3 or above (e.g. NVQ 3 (National Vocational Qualification)/City & Guilds/HNC (Higher National Certificate) or equivalent.)
- A proactive approach to all areas of Health and Safety for both you and your team
- A strong communicator willing to undertake assignments and work individually
- A valid driving license and be able to pass Renewables UK (RUK) and Oil and Gas UK Medical (OGUK) Offshore Medical
- Must have dual citizenship/Right to work in UK and EU
- Previous experience of carrying out fault finding or troubleshooting on electrical/mechanical systems
