Job ResponsibilitiesThe Pilot Operations organization is a flexible and creative team that strives to enable fast and competitively differentiated transitions of new products to our volume manufacturing partners. The Transitions Program Manager is a critical position within the Pilot Operations team which requires someone to take on broad and challenging responsibilities. The selected individual will successfully demonstrate the following:
- Have strong engineering and manufacturing operations knowledge
- Possess excellent communications and influencing skills
- Understand customer's quality and on time delivery expectations
- Expertise in problem solving and root cause/corrective action process
Other Job ResponsibilitiesApply communications and problem-solving skills in a variety of business contexts including:
- Communicate in formal presentations to executive leadership, management, and individual contributors; hold Phase Gate Reviews
- Lead cross-functional teams with members from different organizations and geographies while advising teams and individuals
- Ability to influence peers, internal customers, and executives
- Providing coaching and training as needed
- Understand when and how to escalate issues while maintaining positive relationships with team members and other organizations
- Excel in developing a culture of creativity and accountability in project teams to solve problems in new ways while keeping organizational commitments
- Develop and deliver clear and concise communications for leadership teams and stakeholders
- Ensure execution, manage risks, assure adherence to program or project schedules, and performance to meet business requirements
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to continuously improve the process
- Excel in teamwork and teambuilding
Who We're Looking ForMinimum Qualifications: - B.S. degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related technical field
- 5+ years in a technical or engineering role
- 3+ years in a program/project management role
- Demonstrated leadership skills and knowledge in phase gate approach to program management
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders.
- Analytical skills to interpret and utilize data for decision support.
Preferred Qualifications - MBA
- Six Sigma certification
- Relevant project management certifications such as PMP or CAPM
- Six Sigma certification
Experience in the following is preferred:
- Product Design or Manufacturing Engineering
- Analytical techniques and data driven problem solving
- Experience in New Product Development or New Product Introduction

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. 'On-site Flex' you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. 'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
SalaryCA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $86,000.00 - $202,000.00.
The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
