Duties & Responsibilities Purpose To actively support the operation of the business by providing effective HR support to Line Managers and employees within their designated client group
Functions ESSENTIAL
- Advise employees and managers on the interpretation and implications of policies and procedures.
- Seek out opportunities for improvement in department procedures and ways of working.
- Actively work towards creating and maintaining a positive relationship between the HR Department and all other areas of the business.
- Advise and support Line Managers and employees on grievance and disciplinary issues.
- Provide advice on dismissal and absence situations as required.
- Support Line Managers on Performance Management activities for their employees.
- Assist with the coordination of Company Appraisal program.
- Works Council liaison and negotiation where required (including Employee Handbook)
- Assist with manpower planning and forecasting for designated client group working closely with Line Managers and the Recruitment Team on the resourcing plan.
- Manages employee life cycle from effective onboarding of new employees to ensuring fair and compliant management of employee terminations.
- Communicates organizational culture, policies and procedures, tools, and resources to employees.
- Liaison with HR COEs as necessary.
- Complies with regulations, enforces adherence to requirements, and advises management on needed actions.
- Support with absence management in CAMAS system.
NON-ESSENTIAL
- Assist with any other duties as and when required.
- Undertake specific projects as instructed by management.
Safety Ensure that the Safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to so far as is reasonably practicable in order to ensure a safe working environment.
Other Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems.
Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems on the Company.
Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment.
Qualifications REQUIRED
- Relevant Degree, Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management, or equivalent relevant experience
- Previous generalist experience in Human Resources minimum 3 years
DESIRED
- Experience of Human Resources Databases
- Experience in international organizations.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Dutch and English essential
- Communication skills in German language beneficial
- Ability to work accurately whilst ensuring deadlines are met
- A skilled user of Microsoft Office packages, with an interest in HR Information Systems
- Proactive and able to prioritize workload, manage diary and work on own initiative
- Proactive and forward-looking in addressing potential HR issues.
