Duties & Responsibilities Purpose Oceaneering seeks enthusiastic students for a period of 20 weeks or more (32-40 hours) to support us in the multidisciplinary challenge on our Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR) and related subsystems.
Under supervision of an experienced Service Engineer, you will learn maintenance and commissioning activities on our Autonomous Mobile Robots. This means maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting our AMRs systems, in accordance with Oceaneering standards and following our quality and safety guidelines. Together with experienced service engineers you will test our newly built AMRs for proper driving behavior and functioning of the various systems, followed by commissioning in our production facility. You will gain experience with software installations and upgrades of the AMRs.
Functions ESSENTIAL • You will perform repairs and maintenance and also assist with installation or assembly work.
• You perform bug-fixes, calibrations and troubleshooting activities on our AMR systems.
• You will support the Project Engineer with documentation and reports on the state and progress of the commissioning of the internal system.
• You will gain increasing knowledge regarding schematics and technical documentation so that troubleshooting technical problems and system failures during the commissioning phase will become less complex for you.
• Your initiative will be appreciated if you come up with improvement actions as a result of audits, inspections, defect reports, incident investigations, etc. and implement them. Your creative, effective and innovative solutions to technical challenges are also welcome.

Supervisory Responsibilities • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Reporting Relationship • You will report directly to the Service Coordinator.

Qualifications REQUIRED - Final-year student Studying MBO3/4 in mechatronics, electronics, information technology or similar.
- Affinity with working with robots.
- Proficient written and oral communications in English is essential.
- Previous experience with software tools for configuration, diagnosing and use of PLC's, controllers, actuators, sensor
DESIRED - Experience with integration of software and hardware in an automation environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication, to collect and communicate information effectively.
- Having a VCA certificate.
- You are creative and can solve problems with minimal input needed.
