Position Objective
The Senior Data Engineer creates and maintains data architectures, pipelines and solutions for business
intelligence workloads. The ideal candidate has a blend of experience with big data engineering, relational
database development, machine learning, and analytics.
Essential Functions
- Design, build, and maintain data infrastructure, including databases, data lakes, and data warehouses.
- Work with product teams, business stakeholders, data scientists and application developers
operationalize the data analytics and AI strategies using a variety of cloud-based relational and big
data tools.
- Develop and maintain data integration and ETL pipelines from various sources into data storage
systems
- Develop dashboards and analytics for the client's AI-Enabled Platform
- Collaborate with machine learning engineers to develop and optimize data pipelines for training and
deploying AI/ML models at scale.
- Ensure data pipelines are designed to support machine learning use cases, from data ingestion to
feature engineering and model serving in a cloud-based environment.
- Work closely with ML engineers to integrate data architectures into MLOps workflows, ensuring
smooth data flows for both batch and real-time predictions.
- Implement data governance practices that support explainable AI and ethical use of data across
machine learning models.
- Design and maintain data architectures that support AI-driven claims management functionalities,
ensuring high scalability and performance for real-time decision-making.
- Collaborate with teams to enhance data processing capabilities, enabling more accurate
predictions and faster claim resolutions.

Experience
- 5+ years of relevant experience as a Data Engineer
- 3+ years of hands-on experience working with industry leading big data technologies or data
warehouses
- 5+ years of experience with relational databases like SQL Server and Oracle, including experience
with Azure SQL
- Experience in writing complex SQL queries and creating data models.
- Experience with Databricks or Azure Databricks
- Experience with ETL technologies such as Azure Data Factory
- Experience with discovering and analyzing patterns in data
- Ability to create dashboards using Tableau, Power BI or other tools
- Experience with Python and other data engineering languages like PySpark
- Familiarity with data science tools like Jupyter notebook or Databricks notebooks
- Experience with machine learning workloads and MLFlow is a plus
- Experience working with CI/CD tools like TeamCity or Jenkins
- Experience with source control tools like Bitbucket or Github
- Experience working in an Agile development environment with tools like Jira
- Experience with healthcare data is a plus
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science.

Salary plus benefits range includes $155k-$175k and a 10% target bonus
