We are seeking to hire an experienced Data Solutions Engineer to join our team. If you're a passionate, detail-oriented self-starter that finds delight in delivering innovative data solutions to consumers, Imagen is a great place to get ahead!
The Data Solutions Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and monitoring data pipelines and infrastructure to ensure data is accessible to business stakeholders and analytic experts across Imagen. They regularly collaborate with leaders and analytic professionals to understand current and future data needs, and translate those needs into secure, technical solutions that scale.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain high quality data pipelines from source ingestion to access layer, leveraging modern technologies and tools

Translate business user requirements into technical solutions that drive data access, reporting, analytics, and/or AI
- Automate environment monitoring to assure timely and accurate data content

Create, maintain, and update technical documentation

Maintain and support data analytics platforms and warehouses

Communicate key insights and findings to product teams and leadership

Make data-driven decisions, think systematically about ROI and resolve complexity to drive results

Develops solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation

Ensures solutions are consistent with organization objectives

Qualifications:
-
6+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role
-
Skilled in the following: Azure, Snowflake, Matillion/ADF, DBT, Data Modeling, DAX, API connectivity
-
Proficiency in Data Warehouse / Business Intelligence environment with involvement in design, development, implementation, troubleshooting, and support of ETL/ELT process using Azure ADF/ Matillion

Proven ability in developing Data warehousing, Operational Data Store (ODS), and Data Mart on Snowflake platform

Excellent programming skills in writing Complex Stored Procedures, Queries, Views, User Defined Functions, Cursors, and Common Table Expressions using SQL

Proven ability in Performance Tuning and Query Optimization by Indexing, Partitioning, and Denormalization

An advanced level of SQL programming for data analysis is required

Experience working in an Agile environment, preferred, including conceptualization, design, development, testing, selection, deployment, and post-implementation support

Familiarity with various BI technologies and data governance principles

Familiarity working in a fast-paced environment, with clear measurable outcomes

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Strong troubleshooting, problem solving and conceptualization skills

Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related field
