Duties And ResponsibilitiesPurpose
Oceaneering is looking for an enthusiastic mechanical engineering student for a period of 4 to 12 months (28-40 hours) to support us with AGV design challenges.
Functions
ESSENTIAL
- Complete engineering tasks that may include a variety of complex features and design requirements.
- Consolidate results of mechanical design elements for assigned projects.
- Demonstrate good technical judgment.
- Devise innovative solutions to problems.
- Conduct technical investigations involving the origination or modification of material, component, or process specifications and requirements.
- Generate work instructions and test procedures.
- Occasional work outside normal working hours should be anticipated.
Additionally, being a relatively small business unit, you can expect to experience a range of roles and duties over the project lifecycle, from design to testing and commissioning. Hence, this internship will be the perfect steppingstone for your career.

Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems.

QualificationsQualifications
REQUIRED
- Currently enrolled in (or finished) a relevant HBO or WO education (e.g. Mechanical Engineering).
- Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics
- You possess a positive and energetic demeanor, with a proactive and hands-on approach to tasks
- Affinity with mobile robotics, AGV's, AMR's, etc.
- You demonstrate creativity and are capable of solving problems independently
- You can work independently and exhibit a proactive attitude
Have knowledge about:
- Solid Works or similar CAD packages
- PLM or PDM
- FEA
- Matlab
