Duties & Responsibilities
Purpose
The Assembly Team at Oceaneering Mobile Robotics is responsible for assembling our Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR's), both mechanically and electrically. The Assembly Intern will be responsible for building the designed AMRs and will ensure all is produced and tested in accordance with the Oceaneering standards following our quality and safety guidelines. In case issues arise during the assembly process, the Assembly Intern must be willing to own the challenge and work towards a solution together with the other stakeholders. You conclude your work by testing the AMRs, after which you hand over the vehicle to the software team for use.
The production of the AMR's can vary in production scenarios from single build (prototype) products, final build products, small production batches to making ready for series production at 3 rd parties. To achieve this, the Assembly Technician works closely with the project teams, Engineering departments and Quality teams thus ensuring getting the best possible result.
Functions
ESSENTIAL
• Assisting with the execution of / perform the required assembly activities of AMR's as assigned in projects.
• Apply established standards, processes, and procedures to ensure workplace safety and quality.
• Support with capturing modifications and other changes during the production process and to communicate those to the Engineering department, Quality teams and other stakeholders.
• Come forward with creative, effective, and innovative solutions when challenges occur.
• Work in a team-oriented environment.
Supervisory Responsibilities
• This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Reporting Relationship
• You will report directly to the Assembly Manager.
Qualifications
REQUIRED
• Studying MBO3/4 in mechatronics, electronics, information technology or similar.
• Affinity with working with robots and assembling products.
DESIRED
• Having a VCA diploma and a forklift certificate are an advantage.
