How to contribute to our vision In Offshore Service Logistics - Heavy Lift we are responsible for exchanging the main components on offshore wind turbines within our client portfolio.
We are looking for a Resource Manager with impeccable emotional intelligence that knows how to read the room and can create close bonds with both our stakeholders and Heavy Lift Technicians. As our new Resource Manager, you will maintain the strategy development and long-term success of the Jack Up Operations resources and be responsible for the daily line management of our Heavy Lift Technicians.
To you use and optimize your advanced interpersonal skills to the max, we want you to be responsible for the following tasks:
- Pro-active Line Management of Jack Up Operations Heavy Lift technicians including control of all aspects of day-to-day man-management. Creating new and innovative forecasts and capacity models to plan for future demand, growth, and strategy shifts.
- Responsible for planning, scheduling, and deploying fully qualified and medically fit UK and European resources utilizing a standard software package in line with departmental execution of all Critical Task activities.
- Pro-actively manage all training certification & expiry dates for the SGRE Technician & Subcontractor pool of Jack Up Operations resources. Liaise with SGRE Global Training Department to ensure all training requirements & re-certification is kept up to date to allow continuous operations.
- Plan and implement a training and development strategy for changes in customer demand and expectations for the next 5 years.
- Contribute to the creation and rollout of the Heavy Lift Critical Task Technician competency framework.
- Lead recruitment/resource projects to create and maintain a pool of critical task technicians, including interviewing, on-boarding, and off-boarding activities in alignment with SGRE's new job landscape and competency framework.
- Provide full performance management process (PMP) coverage through annual target setting, half yearly reviews and career development planning.
- Control & management of Technician burn hours, allowances, expenses, and salary review.
- Develop & maintain a good working relationship with the Technician group by undertaking regular face to face meetings on the Jack Up Vessel or Sites.
- Working Closely with Customers, Jack Up Operations Vessel Managers and Operational Project Managers to optimize the scheduling and work patterns to deliver planned work scope, including pro-active maintenance of manning levels on any given project.
- Ensure all the Siemens Gamesa processes and compliance requirements are implemented and strictly adhered to.
- Ensure Jack Up Operations resources execute work to the highest quality standards and any deviations / non-conformances are recorded and addressed.
What you need to make a difference A passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. In addition, we are looking for:
- You are a people person that can easily read the room.
- Past line management experience ideally in an operational, planning or resource management background.
- Strong people leadership attributes, professional attitude to work and an ability to cope in a dynamic environment.
- Confidence to be able to stand up in front of a large group of Technicians and deliver engaging presentations and communicate effective messages.
- Ability to build relationships with and influence remote stakeholders.
- Ability to think creatively and solve problems in a fast paced ever changing environment.
- Proficient IT skills to effectively utilize resource management digital systems (such as Workday, Excel, PowerPoint, Training databases, etc.).
- Must be able to communicate well both written and verbally with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to speak fluent Polish and English is a must.
- This role requires someone who has previous experience of working in a complex and large environment interfacing with multiple stakeholders.
- Experience using Systems Applications and Products ( SAP).
- You will have excellent attention to detail and be an organized individual who can handle multiple conflicting priorities.
- The ability to work under pressure and frequently react to urgent operational requirements.
- Basic understanding of wind industry: Good knowledge of Siemens Turbine types beneficial.
